New website coming for green recreation and travel
NATURAL CHOICES will cater to outdoor enthusiasts, adventure travelers and ecotourists — whose numbers are growing by more than 20 percent each year. This site can help Maine become a leading destination for green travel.

Nonprofits and agencies receive free basic event listings, and during 2009 businesses pay a discounted $60-$180 annual membership for unlimited listings. Post your events soon so they’ll be in the directory when Natural Choices has its public launch in late May. We won’t be driving traffic to the site until that time so please post events occurring AFTER May 18.

We ask two things of our site members and supporters. First, each event listing needs to meet our Code of Ethics so site visitors know every program listed benefits Maine. Second, each participating business or group needs to help drive traffic to this new directory by including a NATURAL CHOICES logo-link on its own web site. We, in turn, have a resources section that includes links to all our site members and supporters.

More photos and site features will be coming soon. We welcome your questions and ideas (info@naturalchoices.com), and look forward to working with you.

Sincerely,

Marina Schauffler
