EPA has Announced Three Anti-environment Nominees
The Trump Administration has nominated three dangerous appointees for positions in the EPA.

Michael Dourson, appointed to lead the EPA’s toxics program, has worked for the chemical industry for years, and has a history of clearing the way for more pollution and downplaying concerns about the health impact of unsafe chemicals.

Andrew Wheeler, who has been nominated as the Deputy Administrator, is a former coal-industry lobbyist for Murray Energy.

William Wherum, nominated to head the EPA air office and would be in charge of a number of emissions-related regulations, refuses to acknowledge human activities are a major contributor to climate change. Wherum also won't commit to uphold rights of states like Maine to adopt clean air standards.

All three of these nominees are a threat to Maine’s environment.
